TSN2 To Air McDonald’s All-American Game
PRESS RELEASE - Canada’s Junior Men’s National Team bronze medalists Myck Kabongo (Toronto, Ont.), Kyle Wiltjer (Portland, OR) and Khem Birch (Montreal, PQ) made history as the inaugral trio of Canadians to participate in the illustrious McDonald’s All American Game at Chicago’s United Center. Hoops fans can watch all of the fast-paced, high-flying action on Thursday, March 31 at 4 p.m. ET on TSN2.
The 34th Annual McDonald’s All-American Game took place Wednesday, March 30 at the United Center in Chicago, where a soldout crowd had the chance to see North America’s brightest young basketball stars. In an interesting twist, all three Canadians were named to the West Team.
Earlier this week, 6’10” Wiltjer wowed fans by winning the 2011 Powerade Jam Fest Three-Point Competition, carrying the Canadian torch started by 2010 Champion and fellow Canadian, Cory Joseph.
Only five previous Canadians have ever been selected to participate in the McDonald’s All-American Game.
