Top Three Fantasy Performers – 02/12

February 13, 2008

hafantasy.jpgWelcome to a new section on HoopsAddict where fantasy hoops guru Brendan de Haan breaks down the top three fantasy hoops performers from the previous night. Feel free to leave comments in this post and look for another upcoming section where he addresses readers’ questions about their fantasy hoop teams which he receives through email.

1. Paul Pierce – 28 points, 12 rebounds, 1 block, and 1 turnover: Paul pierce had a monster night in the absence of Garnett. Pierce shot 50% from the floor, was 10-12 from the line and also hit two threes. Owners can enjoy his higher level of play until Garnett comes back. Don’t get too worried, his game won’t drop too much.

2. Shawn Marion – 23 points, 18 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 1 turnover: Owners were wondering if Marion’s production would falter a bit by leaving Phoenix and not playing with Nash. So far in Miami he has put up two spectacular fantasy lines and it looks like his stock is on the rise. The verdict is not officially out yet, but Marion is definitely a player no matter where he is.

3. Chris Paul – 25 points, 4 rebounds, 13 assists, 2 steals and 1 turnover: Paul has displayed nothing but perfection since the start of this season. He has lead the Hornets to the top of the west and a line like the one above is just an average night at the office. Owners must be pleased with the way Paul has been playing this year as he is proving to be the future of the NBA.
