Last season, the Los Angeles Clippers pronounced that they had arrived and were going to be contenders in the Western Conference. This year, not a lot has changed, but the addition of Jamal Crawford has clearly brought the team to the next level, where it can certainly feel like it has a shot of winning the NBA title this year.
Crawford is tied as the second leading scorer on the Clips at 16.6 points per game, and he provides instant offense off of the bench. If it weren’t for Crawford, there would be a number of games that LA would have probably lost, instead of making for great NBA picks.
A streaky shooter as always, Crawford is only knocking down 41.8 percent of his shots from the field this year. However, he has had plenty of games like his recent outing against the Houston Rockets in which he shot 11-of-20, including 5-of-7 from beyond the arc to help out his club.
