One-On-One With Maurizio Gherardini
Maurizio Gherardini is, without question, one of the most respected minds in world basketball. He became known to casual NBA fans a couple of seasons ago by joining the Toronto Raptors’ front office, but he has long been respected due to his work in Europe. He led Benetton to four Italian League championships (1997, 2002, 2003 and 2006), seven Italian Cups (1993-95, 2000, 2003-05), three Italian Supercups (1997, 2001 and 2002), two Eurocups (1995 and 1999) and four appearances in the Euroleague’s Final Four (1993, 1998, 2002, and 2003).
Despite an already busy schedule due to his commitments with the Raptors, Gherardini added more to his plate when he assumed a role on Canada Basketball’s Advisory Board. He recently sat down to chat with Hoops Addict about what his new role entails, his desire to contribute to the growth of basketball in Canada and the Toronto Raptors.

Gherdini has the basketball acumen of Isiah Thomas. You good sir are shameful. Gherdini has provided absolutely nothing and for Bryan Colnagelo to hire an unknown unproven basketball mind unlike myself was detrimental to this squad. Why you would give him a forum astounds me. Kudos and keep up the good work.

As I’m sure you can tell, the previous comment was not left by me.
I suppose I should take it as a form of flattery that some others have the need to try to pass themselves off as me when they venture forth on the internet.
Hopefully this type of nonsense doesn’t clog up your otherwise terrific site.
