Why – why would Portland take Budinger when they already have 3 SFs better than he is? Blazers need a PG upgrade and a backup PF. That’s it. We’re fine at SF.

Don – A point guard upgrade? Really? I don’t see how any of the point guards left at 23 would be better than Blake or Bayless.

Also, what PF would you have the team draft? This is a draft lacking in PF’s so they would not be able to draft someone of high value at this point of the draft at that position.

At this point of the draft the Blazers would need to pick the best available player. If that means a glut at one position then they have depth in injuries occur or they can make trades to address team needs.

    Ryan,

C’mon…get off of the Thabeet bandwagon. The Griz will NOT take him. They’ll take Rubio, Jordan Hill, Tyreke, or Holliday before they’ll take Thabeet.

They’ll probably trade down (I know you aren’t predicting trades) to get more value, but they will NOT take Thabeet. That was a bad rumor from the get go.

Also, Chris Wallace likes to other foreign players: Omri and Victor Claver. Don’t be surprised if one of them isn’t picked at #27.

Sam Young would be an excellent pick up for the Lakers at 29 but whats their shot at a decsent PF at 42? Do you think Gibson will still be avaliable? Or what about Pendergraph?

    Ryan,

Write down and remember the names Derrick Brown, Taj Gibson, Dante Cunningham, Marcus Thornton, Danny Green and Nando De Colo … each of whom is a player the Raptors could easily acquire via this year’s draft, if they played their cards with skill and finesse.

    Time will be the judge.

Khandor – Great picks for some sleepers! All of those guys are being slept on during most mock drafts – this one included – but are guys who are likely to be taken in the first round if teams become enamored with them during pre-draft workouts.

Nick – Gibson could go in the first round but I think Pendegraph could still be around at 42.

    Ryan,

    Thanks for the kind words.
