Rod went to Truman HS in the Bronx and won a city championship as a junior. His coach was Steve Lappas who eventually coached Villanova. Rod’s brother Byron once scored 55 points in a USBL game.

Ha! It seems that way Mary. We’ve had a parade of “Shoulda-Coulda Been” type guys…..but the Bulls have had their fair share as well, except yours are more recent (Curry and Chandler). Don’t make me mention Pete Meyers!!!!

Does everything come back to Washington? I mean who didn’t play for the Wizards…LOL! Yes, how do I remember the former Blue Demon (who don’t have anything at all on the Blue Devils by the way). Rod was his best in San Antonio, too bad he fell prey to the Ricky Williams, “I just want to smoke weed” disease.

loved that you mentioned Blue Edwards! Back when he played for Utah I ran into him during one of the Rocky Mountain Review games and he was a level-headed guy. Plus, I loved the fact that a pro baller was willing to talk to a geeky high school kid like me
