With the starting shooting guard position still up for grabs, every move Nick Young does or does not make is scrutinized by Coach Flip Saunders. After starting the initial preseason game last Tuesday against the Memphis Grizzlies, Young came off the bench tonight against the Mavericks.
After the game, Young talked about his play overall, his battle with Mavericks guard Jason Terry, and his observations on Gilbert Arenas’ play.

My evening started off with a laugh as I spotted the Raptors preseason media guide. What was so funny? Turns out the PR team has a great sense of humour because the cover of the media guide is a “Hello, My Name Is…” sticker with all the players names due to the team having such a large roster overhaul this summer. Genius.

Last year around this time, Washington Wizards center Brendan Haywood was trying to figure out how to cope with an injured wrist that sideline him much of the season. After a brief return towards the end of last season, Haywood is 100% healthy, and is poised to be a force in Flip Saunders new offensive system.
