Catching Up With Michael Redd
After spending the past 14 months rehabbing after surgery to repair two torn ligaments in his left knee, Milwaukee Bucks’ shooting guard Michael Redd was like a kid in a candy store when he got his chance to be back on the court Monday night against the Charlotte Bobcats.
Redd was so eager to get back on the court he nearly sprinted to the scorer’s table when Scott Skiles gave him the green light to check into the game after John Salmons picked up two quick fouls.
Nearly 48 hours later, Redd was still sporting an ear-to-ear grin while talking with the media about his return to the game he loves. During his pre-game chat with the media in Toronto, he talked about why he returned to Ohio for his rehab, why he didn’t rush back this time, trying to find a groove with his teammates, getting his cardio back and how how faith helped him through some tough times.
