Last week it seemed as if Amir Johnson was in a groove he wouldn’t soon snap out of.  After posting back-to-back strong games which same him score a team-high 18 points and the following game lead Toronto in rebounding (12) he boasted to me in the locker room that he’s trying to secure a double-double each game off the bench.

Well, that goal has crashed and burned this week as over his past two games he’s averaging 3 boards and 2 points in only 15.5 minutes of burn.

So is the young forward grumpy about his recent stretch of play? Not even a little bit. While chatting with him at his locker last night he had a grin stretch from ear-to-ear over the teams recent five-game winning streak.

Talk about being the definition of a hustle guy.
