Catching Up With Al Thornton

February 21, 2010

To say Al Thornton is disappointed with how things ended in Los Angeles would be a bit of an understatement.

Heading into this season Thornton was perceived to be a big part of the Clippers’ future along with Blake Griffin and Eric Gordon. The trio were all under 26 and Thornton had averaged 14.6 points and 4.8 rebounds over his first two seasons in the NBA.

However, all of this hope and optimism evaporated this season as Thornton averaged 10.7 points stats and saw his minutes shrink up faster than a man in a cold pool.

Thornton talked with Hoops Addict last night about being shocked when he heard he was traded, how a chance of scenery is something he’s looking forward to and what it was like to a big part of Washington’s win over Denver.
