This past week, Nate Robinson was under fire for doing what any 24-year-old would be doing on the world’s biggest stage — enjoying himself. Robinson, after making a three-pointer and being fouled, walked over to actor Will Ferrell and gave him a fist bump. Robinson was just doing his job while helping his team win and entertaining the crowd.

If you don’t want to say it, I will – I’m glad to see Eddy Curry back with the New York Knicks. He has been through a lot the past few months and if basketball eases the pain, then I’m his biggest fan.

Madison Square Garden has seen its fair share of great moments. This past week was no different as Kobe Bryant and LeBron James brought the Garden fans to their feet. Hopefully, by 2010, it will be a player from their own team they are cheering for.

College basketball fans around the world have a feeling towards Duke University and those feelings are usually negative if you’re not a fan of the Blue Devils. People hate them, but it is about time they start using a different four letter word to describe them.

From afar, the Prudential Center makes you want to buy a ticket to whatever is going on inside. Shaquille O’Neal would make you want to come back for more. O’Neal, to borrow a line from HBO’s Entourage, is Newark, N.J. So why not allow him to be the face of the Newark Nets. It may be years away or not even a possibility, but we can all dream.

Trade rumors are swirling. The Spurs are the Spurs again. Donnie Walsh, Mike D’Antoni and steak dinners. Darius Miles replaces Antoine Walker. A lot has happened in just a few short days. And to think, it isn’t even Christmas yet.

Nothing has really changed in New Jersey and that is somewhat of a good thing. The Nets improved to 11-8 this past week with wins over the Philadelphia and Minnesota. This means that they are still a playoff team as of now. Get used to it.
