I’m convinced Bargnani will develop a nasty facial twitch by the end of the season if members of the media continue to hound him about his rebounding. This afternoon I attempted to ask him about his nine rebounds and he looked exasperated with the mere mention of the word.

:ast season the Raptors’ coaching staff wanted defenders to pressure at the perimeter but some of the players on the roster just didn’t have the foot speed to be able to accomplish this. This year the guards will be asked to contest shots but also contain the ball on the perimeter.

Playing time is like oxygen to NBA players, and any Toronto Raptor who is unwilling to step up on the defensive end will be left gasping for air while watching the game from the end of the bench.
