An Insider’s Guide To Creating The Sports Experience Of A Lifetime

July 6, 2009

Earlier this month I had the pleasure of chatting with Robert Tuchman. Who is he? He’s the lucky stiff who was able to spend an entire year going from sporting event to sporting event.

When I heard about this book I almost refused to review it based on principle – why should he be so lucky to check out all these events while all I get is a guide on what events to attend? When my temper tantrum subsided I dove into this book and realized life does exist outside of the Air Canada Centre. Not only that, but I’ve added a ton of sports evenings to my Bucket List.

Some of the topics we covered during our chat include:

* His motivation for writing this book
* He explained how he parlayed his love of attending sporting events into a gig as a sports travel guru on The Wall Street Journal, USA Today and The New York Times
* How he was able to get his wife on board with the idea of spending an entire year attending sporting events
* What his favorite part of writing the book was
* What the most challenging part was
* He explained why San Antonio made the cut for Top 10 Sports Cities while Toronto was left off the list

You can find out more about his book by clicking on this link.
