A Sweet March Madness
With March Madness about to begin basketball fans will be looking to stock up their fridge with snacks to devour while watching the games. Why not score some FREE ice cream from Baskin-Robbins? I was recently sent an email from a PR rep for the company telling me about the new Baskin-Robbins Candy Bar Madness treats as well as an offer to give away $40 in gift certificates to try out this new product. The ice cream treats include sundaes, shakes, ice cream and cakes that infuse York Peppermint Patties, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Heath candies. I feel like a bit of a shill hyping this up, but I assure you I don’t get anything out of this promotion and the reason I’m running this promotion is because it gives readers a chance to snag free stuff.
Hoops Addict will be running a promotion where you can score a free $10 gift card to Baskin-Robbins just for answering the following trivia question: Who are the five players from Florida’s National Championship team last season who have played in the NBA this season?

If I didn’t write for Hoops Addict, I’d be all over this! Give some love to PR people out there who are doing it right – free stuff, outreach to bloggers, no gimmicks or catches. Just goodwill towards a community they’d like to be noticed in. Kudos to Baskin-Robbins.
