Being limited to eight healthy players due to injuries left Washington seemingly helpless against Charlotte. Not only was Charlotte fighting with Chicago for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, but they were on a stretch that had seen them win 9 out of 13 games, including a franchise-best six in a row. Given the contrasts in fates, it would seem on paper, that Charlotte would steamroll their way to victory.
