Dominic McGuire: Defender, Hustler and Now Starter

On December 23rd, Washington Wizards head coach Ed Tapscott inserted Dominic McGuire in the starting lineup. Wizards guard DeShawn Stevenson was struggling mightily, and voluntarily asked to come off the bench to improve this team’s chances of winning. That moved Caron Butler from small forward to shooting guard, and allowed McGuire to play his natural position of small forward. Since that switch McGuire and the Wizards have played much better with victories over playoff teams like the Houston Rockets and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
