While the rest of teammates were in Europe enjoying the culture and battling the New Orleans Hornets in two exhibition games, second-year guard Nick Young was advised by team doctors to stay behind and take care of his ailing knee. As you can imagine, this was a difficult task.

Kevin Love is less than one month into his NBA career and his pedestrian averages of 8.3 points and 5.5 rebounds have resulted in some fans spraining their ankles while jumping off his bandwagon. People need to take a deep breath and realize the growing pains Love is going through are nothing different than what any young big man endures when they arrive in the NBA.

Prior to yesterday’s game against the New Orleans Hornets in Barcelona, Spain, there was plenty for the Washington Wizards to feel good about. Forward Antawn Jamison’s injured knee had healed much quicker than expected and he was inserted into the starting lineup. Juan Dixon, who had missed all of preseason with an injured calf, was also scheduled to see his first action of the preseason. Unfortunately neither player could help prevent the Wizards from losing their third game in a row.
