According to Comcast SportsNet, the Washington Wizards worked out free agent Juan Dixon on Friday afternoon.  Dixon, who played his college ball at the University of Maryland, was drafted 17th overall by the Washington Wizards, and averaged 8 points during his three-year tenure.  His biggest moment as a Wizard came in the 2005 NBA playoffs when he scored a career-high 35 points against the Chicago Bulls in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

That next year, Dixon signed with the Portland Trailblazers as a free agent and averaged a career high 12 points.  Dixon played two more years in Portland, before being traded to the Toronto Raptors for Fred Jones and future considerations at the trade deadline in February of 2007.

After getting off to a fast start in Toronto by averaging 11 points, Dixon’s shooting went cold, and his playing time diminished.  At the 2008 trade deadline, the Raptors traded Dixon to the Detroit Pistons for Primož Brezec and cash considerations, but again Dixon saw limited playing time.

According to Comcast SportsNet, Dixon is currently considering offers from a few teams.
